The good news: A new South Florida boutique claims its entire line of products for the home is environmentally friendly.
The not-so-good news: It’s located far south of Palm Beach, in Plantation.
The store, at 5215 W. Broward Boulevard, has linens, baby clothes, decor, dishware, gifts and more made from “organic, recycled, renewable or sustainably harvested materials,” according to its publicist.
The products include Forrest Stewardship Council-certified wood finished without formaldehyde, bamboo flooring and coco palm cabinetry, as well as stone floors and countertops made with recycled glass and seashells. It also has a kids’ lounge with play area and a resource center. The store even hosts “green” baby showers (as opposed to “green baby” showers) as well as informational “green parties” Sounds lovely.
Exactly what you’d expect from a store whose motto is “Healthy Home Goods with Style.”
When you are out and about in Broward County, consider checking out this store — and report back, if you will. It may be worth the drive. (Just take the smaller car, OK?)
